How I make money on this site.
When I link to a product I recommend, I sometimes use an affiliate link. If you click through and buy something, I earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price you'd pay going to the brand directly.
Affiliate links are how a one-person review site keeps the lights on without putting content behind a paywall or running display ads. They never change which products I review or what I say about them.
My relationship with Toothpillow.
I work for Toothpillow.
On any post that mentions Toothpillow, you'll see an extra disclosure at the top making this relationship explicit. I separate my honest opinion of the program from the fact that I work there, and I'll always tell you when something is or isn't worth your money.
To be clear: I paid full price for the program when we started, before I worked there. I began working at Toothpillow because it changed my family's life and I wanted to help more families at a larger scale.
Free samples and gifts.
Sometimes brands send me products to try. I treat them the same way I treat anything I've bought myself: real use in my home before I'll write about them. If I don't like something a brand sent me, I don't write about it. I don't promise positive coverage in exchange for a sample.
What I won't do.
- Accept payment in exchange for a positive review.
- Recommend a product I haven't personally used.
- Bury an affiliate link or pretend a sponsored post isn't sponsored.
- Use fearmongering to sell something.
